For starters, the ones who have a secure attachment style are empathetic, capable of setting healthy boundaries, and feel more secure and stable in romantic partnerships. On the other hand, insecure attachment style can be of three types:
Avoidant-dismissive: push their partners away, lie to them, have affairs, seek independence Anxious-ambivalent: overly needy/clingy and have a way of overwhelming their partners Disorganized: attract abusive partners or toxic relationships, seek drama/unsafe experiences
Finally, the most important tip for a person with an insecure attachment style is to choose people who are kind, reassuring, trusting, and reliable. This will make them feel safe, secure, and at home. If they choose emotionally unavailable people, it will just trigger their fears even more. How do we help them make such healthy choices?
